We help people and businesses in Africa tap into their personal power to achieve quantum results in line with their dream lifestyles.
Empowering one million managers with the knowledge, skills, and tools to make Africa prosperous and happy.
Let me take a moment to share with you who we are – as PPLD – and what we are up to with our Power UP!” Training Program.
The PPLD Vision is Pan-African – meaning we expect it to grow well beyond Nigeria. And our basic framework is essentially designed in 4 levels:
Level 1: TRANSFORMING THE MANAGERS
This group was chosen as our “startup point” because they represent the Visionaries for the economy. As employers and employees, this group is hungry for success and can easily relate to transformative principles. Our current training facilities in Lagos will definitely need expansion in the months ahead.
Because the level of decadence and despondency here in Nigeria requires urgent, massive transformation, having 4 centers is necessary to drive this change deeper and faster.
Ideally, each center will handle 100 participants per day. We look forward to – and invite – outside investment to expand our funding so that we can create a Training Centre for each of the following major cities: Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano within the next 2 years
Level 2: SKILLS ACQUISITION CENTERS FOR THE YOUNG SCHOOL LEAVERS**
The unemployment rate for young Nigerians under 30 is estimated to be as high as 70% and, at PPLD, we see that as unacceptable! The consequences of this include high crime rates, teenage pregnancies, serious health concerns including depressions and drug abuse.
Level 2 for “Power UP!” will provide basic transformational education and will include a Skills Acquisition program in line with participants’ individual natural gifts and lifestyle preferences.
The effect of this in the society will be huge and difficult to ignore for Nigerian and other foreign governments.
This Skills Acquisition Center will provide training in such areas as Healthcare, Food, Beauty, Agriculture, Music, Arts & Craft and Engineering. Each center will be able to handle as many as 500 participants in a 6-week cycle. The graduates of this stage will then be prepared and able to start work on their entrepreneurial dreams almost immediately. These centers will be located in Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Port Harcourt.
Level 3: VENTURE CAPITAL AND EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR THE UNDER-PRIVILEGED
Empowering young minds with skills without access to adequate funding to fulfill on their entrepreneurial dreams, is not going to work and banking in Nigeria is such that it is currently not structured to fund start-ups. PPLD therefore, will promote equity participation in viable projects, supervised by graduates of our programs; professionals who are both competent and motivated to share knowledge, tools and skills. This will provide for an exponential expansion of potential opportunities and the growth of these small and medium-scale companies will be huge.
Level 4: A FOUNDATION FOR GOOD
Taking care of young Nigerians is critical to our future success. By creating a Foundation to take care of children who are currently on the streets is the aim of this final phase of the PPLD “Power UP! For Success!”
It is unacceptable to see 5 – 12 year-olds hawking food and other household items on the road, experiencing physical and sexual abuse, being killed by crazy drivers and being condemned to a life of disease arising from the continuous exposure to rain, unbearable heat, dust and dangerous fumes. We are committed to have them off the street and into schools; one each in Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt and Abuja.
ABOUT OUR GRADUATES: Nigerians who have completed our program are transformed individuals. They think, feel, believe and act differently – all without waiting for a handout from the government to take care of their needs.
Our graduates will assist in managing these schools, where children are started on the right path early in life. Our vision for these students is a strong, new society that will, within 5 years, encourage other African nations to join us, making the continent prosperous and happy once again.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Experts say that more than 70% of Nigerians are 30 years and below in age and this group have been born and raised in a mostly dysfunctional society. All they have known is life without adequate education, power, money, water, roads, healthcare and job opportunity. This level of deprivation is at the root of the recent suicide bombings and kidnappings being experienced in northern Nigeria.
PAN-AFRICAN LEVERAGE: The final phase of the PPLD vision will provide massive support in addressing the human development issues in this country. The problems throughout the continent of Africa are relatively similar – poverty, disease, hunger, homelessness, idleness and crime.
In Nigeria, the experience, expertise and successes gathered during the first 24 months from the above described projects, will make possible the replication of these same program throughout all other African countries. Because our curriculum encourages the participation of industry leaders in each of these various programs, additional benefits will include mentorship, employment opportunities, and financial support for the vision.
The ultimate outcome of this PPLD Vision is to build a transformation-driven Movement for a continental re-birth in an atmosphere of joy and prosperity.
